Body by Bennett and the game of hockey have a long and sweaty history. We train players at the pee wee level, in the minor leagues, and some of your favourite Oilers. Years ago, we developed Reactive Movement Ability (RMA) Training, pioneering the idea that hockey training must be hockey-specific. Our new Ready Set Go! program model periodizes training to have you in optimal condition for tryouts or training camp.
We also just love this game. When Georges is in town, we get together for shinny at a local arena. We support Edmonton Minor Hockey Week, a wonderful showcase of the region's young talent.
The point is that we know what it takes to train your body for the game of hockey. But to really get you ready to play, you need to be surrounded by people that will support you through the ups and downs. Going pro might be a common dream, but the road is not an easy one. Let our hockey trainers be part of your support system.
For Kids ages 9-12; 3 Sessions per week.
The key to great on-ice performance is learning how to move your body properly! Hockey training for kids builds the fundamental skills that will make or break a player as he or she moves into more competitive levels of play.
B3 Junior Performance hockey training is based on Reactive Movement Ability Training (see RMA video here). At this age, the focus is on foundational integrated movement: skating mechanics, agility, balance, body control and reactivity. These are the skills that a hockey player relies on to handle the directional changes and movement challenges of the sport.
Ages 13-15, 4 Sessions per week.
The goal of hockey training for this age group is to create a body so smart and responsive, that it can react accurately and effectively in any level of chaos on the ice. Players will train for the complex movement requirements of hockey, producing quick reactions, explosive speed, skating agility, and full body strength. Kids will develp the confidence to be aggressive in the high-traffic areas of the ice.
Group A: 15-17 years old; Group B: 18+; 4 Sessions per week for 13 weeks.
